My name is Aprille Ricafranca and I'm a certified Makeup Artist with over 10 years of experience. I am a self-taught artist but went to Cinema Makeup School to polish my skills and learn from the best in the industry. One of the most important things I learned from school was sanitation! I learned the correct way to sanitize and keep my products pure so that there is no cross contamination. I realize now that many makeup artists out there are not sanitary and double dip in their lipglosses and mascara - gross!
I even learned how to do Special FX and thought that I wanted to do set-work. I did a pilot for a sci-fi show and a few short films. I also assisted Steve Costanza on set for a music video for Panic! At the Disco. Although, that was really fun, I learned that set-life wasn't for me and went back to my true passion: beauty makeup.
My makeup style does go towards the more natural look, but, I also love doing dramatic makeup! My favorite types of makeup are for weddings and all things vintage. And when I talk about vintage, I don't mean the "rockabilly" type, but the accurate kind (according to the era). I don't do set-work anyway, but if I hear about an era specific short film, I'm definitely on board!
